Overall a great experience. You should absolutely buy tickets ahead of time. The parking is limited so car pool if you can. There's only two stops for restrooms so go before ya go in!! The makeup, scenes, theatrics, and setups were great. There were definitely some great things I haven't noticed at other facilities I have been to. (THERES ALOT) The flow was a little off the night that we went but I am going to guess it was because it was the end of the night and they were already past time to close. However they were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Great crowd interaction. Lots of pros about this facility. I would definitely recommend to others especially if they do get scared.
This was a very good haunted attraction but just a couple of things could make it so much better. The parking lot could greatly benefit from some temporary light towers, it felt a bit dangerous due to lack of lighting and was never really sure that we were in the right place. The organization at the ticket booth was horrible, again better lighting would help. The website says pre purchased tickets must check in at the ticket booth but then we were told to get in the general admission line and then moved to the fast access line when it cleared out. There was only 1 scare actor on the path from the gate to the building. Several more would keep the crowd entertained and build anticipation. The entry was fantastic but a lot of waiting in line once inside the building. The set design, lasers lighting, soundtrack, animatronics, puppets ,storyline and especially the actors were all fantastic! The main story actors were really good but it was hard to hear what they were saying. The receptionist, Lady Cartocker, the monk and the priest would all benefit from a small microphone. The angry nun yelling that we are late for class was incredible and one of our favorites! The bar, porta potty and photo ops at the halfway point were great. The mine haunt while lacking the large set design of the first half was very cool in design with lots of tight, dark claustrophobic spaces. We had a great time and with a few tweaks, this attraction could be stellar!
super entertaining! the last few rooms were pretty disorienting and fun to go through and the special lighting effects, smoke effects and set decorations are amazing. we read reviews before going and saw that people talk about the actors talking a lot and all i can say is that the story they tell did not make sense for me but wasn’t really necessary in my opinion because either way it’s a fun set to explore with tons of detail. i can’t say i was very scared but still really enjoyed it.
one thing i noticed going through that i would suggest making guests fully aware of is that there are areas where the floor or terrain completely changes slope and you climb up a walkway sideways so if you are disabled or have balance issues this may not be the right attraction for you. also heads up they use air cannons and fake realistic taser sound but they don’t grab or touch.
we had a good time and think this is a great place to visit if you liked fear fair which unfortunately closed.. it is pretty similar. we especially liked the half way point (where you can purchase snacks and take selfies or rest) and we liked the walk through the woods up to the building and the actors hidden throughout the path. we enjoyed our visit and will come back.
shoutout to the two in these costumes for letting us take selfies 😂💕🎃 we love them!
We have been to many haunted houses in the area and we wanted an experience that was a little more unique and interactive and the thirteenth hour delivered for us 💯! I would recommend this for anyone who is steady on their feet and can maneuver varying terrain. I have a bad knee but it was manageable for me at a relaxed pace. It is likely not intended to be handicap accessible however, I did not inquire about that.
We picked up fast passes and I am grateful because it was one of the busiest weekends. There was a torch lit walkway with some scenery that was a mild foreshadowing of the adventure ahead of us. Figures appear a long the pathway and in line to keep you excited while you wait. A very kind line usher helped us with our passes and let us know the photography rules and where acceptable locations were.
From front to back, the attraction is beautifully, artistically, and theatrically decorated. You might find small intricate details if you look around long enough. The actors interact with your small group and a storyline is enacted through your journey. The actors also put a lot of care into what they wear and their characters backstory and interactions. The middle of the attraction features a small bar to obtain beverages and snacks, porta johns, decorations for photo opportunities, and benches for a place to rest. I met a wonderful character there that further detailed some of the experiences I had been through and how they fit into the experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend this experience and find the value of the ticket was worth every penny! Thank you!
The BEST haunted attraction in the Indy area! Scares? Absolutely! But the difference between 13th Hour and so many other average haunts are the sets, the acting, and the STORY. Yes...story! This is not just your everyday wander through a dark building with random theme rooms. It is an immersive, narrative-driven interactive experience. Don't miss this amazing show!
Went on the Sunday before Halloween, with little to no wait. Fantastic show quality from scenery, lighting, show effects, costuming, and actor interactions. Some of the best scenic and effects outside of a theme park! One of my new top haunts!
My brother and I went here for the first time and I wasn’t sure what to expect! I’d say this is my new favorite haunt. I go to countless haunted houses and this one was on the list of the best one! You just have to go to see what I’m talking about. But, they don’t try to cram you through you get to actually experience each scene. It was almost like walking through a movie. There’s even a drink area/bar area halfway through outside. I’m impressed with the craftsmanship of this haunt. It was very realistic looking and you could tell someone spent a lot of time putting this together. With good craftsmanship too. Actors played really unique and interesting parts, they all deserve some credit. it followed a neat story line. You didn’t expect what was coming on each scene. Very unique. Actors costumes/makeup looked amazing! Will be back with some friends.
Five stars all day long ! In my 47 yrs this is hands down the best and scariest haunded house I've ever had the pleasure of going to! Made my 14 yr old shake. And made my 13 yr old pee a wee bit. My 17 yr old had to hide inside her hoodie! Stellar performances by your employees! 10/10 Recommend!!!!!
